The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will shut down on five separate days due to the federal sequester. The shut-down dates do not affect any tax deadlines and/or extensions. If you call the IRS offices on these dates, you will not be able to reach an agent. The dates are:
- May 24, 2013
- June 14, 2013
- July 5, 2013
- July 22, 2013
- August 30, 2013
